ECCLESIOLOGY

expresses the Catechism in paragraph 857: The Church is apostolic because it is founded on the Apostles "

This statement must put in its proper context distinction:
a.) Who founded the Church
b.) "who founded
on why the Church is founded?
The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ as part of God's saving plan, prefigured in the Old Testament, but not as a distant and separate entity of his chosen people, but as the culmination of his revelation in Christ.

The Church has come to represent the new people of God, as we express the Second Vatican Council, and the new people of God will not be governed by the old covenant but the new one.

The prophet Isaiah wrote:
"At the end of time, the hill of Yahweh's house will be put on the high mountains and dominate the higher elevations. Iran to see all nations and many people come up to him saying: Come, let us climb the mountain of Yahweh, the God of Jacob's house, to teach us his ways and walk in his paths "

is interesting as a prophet who wrote several centuries before the coming of Christ, referring to the House of God as a place where all nations meet. This reference falls entirely on the Church and we see in the New Testament in the mouth of San Lucas, referring to the feast of Pentecost:
"" They were passing through Jerusalem, God-fearing Jews who came from all nations that under heaven . And among the crowds who came to hear the noise, each one heard them speaking in his own language " (Acts 2, 5-6)

began at Pentecost started the Church and not just against the inhabitants of Jerusalem but against those of all nations.
This foreshadowing of God meet in your home to all nations to walk in his paths gives validity, value and significance to the fact that Christ Church to have wanted to perpetuate his apostles choose to continue their work:

Go, then , and make all nations my disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I'm with you until the end of the world. "(Mt 28, 20)

Twelve tribes, twelve Apostles
The patriarch Jacob, the grandson of Abraham had twelve sons, who are the founders of the twelve tribes of Israel (Gen 29).
On these twelve tribes formed the people of God, and these twelve tribes of Israel lived history, the entrance to the land of Canaan, the period of the Judges, the choice of kings, the construction of the Temple, invasions and expectation of the Messiah, at which time Christ comes to make all things new (21: 5)

Christ himself came to choose for themselves the new people of God, not governed by the covenant of Abraham and David because the alliance had lost validity (Heb 9, 15) but governed by the New Covenant prefigured by Jeremiah and reaffirmed in the letter to the Hebrews:
"arrive day, "declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and Judah.

the Alliance will not be formed with their forefathers when I took them in hand to take them out of Egypt, my covenant which they broke, although I was the owner, says the Lord "This is the Alliance with the house of Israel after those days, saith the LORD: I will put my law within them, and write it on their hearts; I will be their God and they shall be my people.

is clear as the Lord promised that the new alliance will be his chosen people. But if the twelve tribes which were formed when ancient Israel, who will be the foundation of the new people of God? Knowing clearly that the Church founded by Christ is the new people of God, we know who are the foundation upon which Christ founded his Church.

The Story of the election of the twelve apostles is so important that it is mentioned by three of the four Gospels (Mt 10, 1-4, Mk 3, 13-19, Luke 6, 12-16) Choosing the twelve apostles represent the desire to perpetuate Christ's saving work forever, so much so that promised to be with us every day world (Mt 28, 20)

Why why they were chosen by the apostles?
In the words of Christ:
To be fishers of men, "Jesus said to Simon: - Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men" (Lk 5, 11)

Apostles were not chosen simply to follow Christ and help in the logistics of his ministry. He even admitted that he had called to be fishers of men, and this represented a big responsibility as it meant to rescue the souls of the dark.

To manage the grace of Christ in the sacraments:
"And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and gave it to him saying this is my body which is given for you, do this in memory of me "

At the Last Supper Christ instituted the Eucharist and commanded the Apostles to celebrate always " Receive the Holy Spirit to those who forgive their sins, will be freed, and whom they are retained, they are retained "(Jn 20, 22-23)

Christ gave the apostles the task of administering the sacrament of reconciliation.
to faithfully interpret the Word "Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures" (Lk 24, 45)

Interpretation the Word of God was not the free will of any reader. Christ to the apostles delegated the task of understanding the Scriptures and preach (Acts 9, 35)

"Jesus answered them, you have been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but they do not" ( Mt 13, 11)

Apostles were those who could understand the message of Christ and therefore the Magisterium of the Church's mission to serve the Holy Scripture and Apostolic Tradition.
We can recognize today in the Catholic Church the mission of the Apostles of Christ: Evangelization, administration of the sacraments and the Magisterium of the Church.

Church's apostolic dimension
When a person says I believe in Christ but not in the Church is contradicting because Jesus himself did choose the apostles so they could perpetuate his work, and those apostles were the beginning of the Church Catholic. The apostles are the foundation and bedrock of the Church and Catholic something that makes us proud, knowing that every one of our priests be in direct line of an apostle.

There are two very important passages to discover the apostolate of the Church:
"You are God's house. Are rooted in the building whose foundation of the apostles and prophets, and whose cornerstone is Christ Jesus " (Eph 2, 20)

In this passage the Apostle Paul referring to community at Ephesus, called the house of God. But more interesting is that the Christians of Ephesus are considered grounded on the basis of the Apostles. On what basis is founded your church? Is it possible in other Church Apostle know what comes? It is only possible within the Catholic Church.

b.) "The wall of the city rests on twelve bases on which are inscribed the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb"

The Apostle John in Revelation shows us a vision of the new Jerusalem, the wife of Lamb. Is an allusion to the Church, and although it is still a future vision founded on the Apostles. This text gives the lie to those who think that the apostolic church with the twelve apostles died.

The Apostolic Church hierarchy is the hierarchy of the Catholic Church
When you look at how organized the Church in the New Testament we can give that is the same organization that today the Church

early Church

Church today

Bishops

Bishops (the Pope is the Bishop of the Diocese of Rome) and the cardinals are bishops

Priests

Priests

Deacons

Deacons

Biblically we can corroborate this division:

Bishops:

"If someone aspires to the office of bishop, no doubt covets a very eminent" (1 Tim 3, 1)

The bishops are those who run the churches local, are instituted by Apostles themselves. The Apostle James the Less was Bishop of Jerusalem (Gal 1, 19)

Priests:

"must be blameless, married once. Well, being in charge of the house of God, must be blameless " (Tit 1, 6.7)

Priests were also chosen by the apostles in every local church who started (Acts 14, 23) and dedicated to bringing Word of God (1 Tim 5, 17)

Deacons:

"Deacons must also be respected and a single word " (1 Tim 3, 8)

Deacons collaborated with the apostles in the administration of the Church in communities.

As we can see, this structure remains today, and even though we see Other names the structure is the same: the Pope is the Bishop of the Diocese of Rome, and cardinals are bishops who have a specific mission to address the problems of the Church. In every city there is a diocese headed by a bishop and priests in different parishes and communities.

We can be happy because the Catholic Church is Apostolic and above all biblical.

The Church is Apostolic Church is holy

SINS OF THE CHILDREN OF THE CHURCH

And the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16, 18)

1 .- The Church is holy

I believe in the Church, which is one, holy, catholic and apostolic.

So we Catholics as a profession of faith in the Creed. But why is Santa? The Church was instituted by Christ:

766 But the Church is born primarily of the total gift of Christ for our salvation, anticipated in the institution of the Eucharist and held at the Cross . "The water and blood that flow from the side of the crucified Jesus are signs of this beginning and growth" (LG 3. "For the side of Christ asleep on the cross was born the sacrament admirable of the whole Church "(SC 5). Just as Eve was formed from the sleeping Adam's side, and the Church was born from the pierced heart of Christ's death on the Cross (cf. San Ambrosio, Luc 2, 85-89).

Christ instituted his Church with Peter as the rock upon which states:

And I in turn tell you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My Church , and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Matthew 16, 18-19.

This passage also shows that Christ abides with the Church, nothing would break down, nor cease to be immaculate:

Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her to sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water under the floor, and present it to himself in splendor, without having spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but is holy and immaculate . Ephesians 5, 25-27.

The Church is Holy because together with Christ, form one body. The Church is one with Christ, and nothing that is defiled can be one with Him is by belonging to it, tells us the likeness of the vine and the branches (John 15: 4-5) and administration and participation sacraments (in them, God communicates his own Holiness):

For my flesh is real food and my blood real drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. John 6, 55-56.

and also tell the Catechism:

823 "Faith confesses that the Church ... can not but be holy . Indeed, Christ, the Son of God, who with the Father and the Spirit is hailed as 'alone holy,' loved the Church and his wife. He gave her holy, the other joined same as his own body and filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God "(LG 39). The Church is therefore " the holy People God "(LG 12) and its members are called" saints "(cf. Acts 9, 13, 1 Cor 6, 1, 16, 1).

addition, the Church is sanctified by the Holy Spirit, sent by the Son:

"When the Son completed the work the Father gave him to do on earth, Holy Spirit was sent on Pentecost to continually sanctify the Church. " Lumen Gentium 4.

And she, as mother of the members of the Church, the holy.

2 .- Sin

791 unit body has not abolished diversity of members : "In building the body of Christ there a diverse membership and functions. It is the same Spirit who, according to their wealth and needs of the Ministries, distributes his different gifts for the good of the Church ". The unity of the Mystical Body produces and urges love among the faithful:" If one member suffers, all members suffer with it, if one member is honored, all members rejoice with it "(LG 7). Finally, the unity of the Mystical Body is victorious in all human divisions "Indeed, all baptized into Christ have put on Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female, for all you are one in Christ Jesus "(Gal 3, 27-28).

Many are members of the Church. This can be divided into three groups:

- The Church Militant . who lives on earth, waiting for salvation.

- The purgative Church . It is purified in purgatory.

- The Church triumphant . Triumphant and reigning in heavenly glory.

The first are the members of the Church found in State Route : in this life are already participating Life Divine Christ through the Sacraments, and especially in the Eucharist. This state of wayfarers, however, is often marked by sin, for not participating yet the glory of heaven, we are still victims of sin and its consequences.

What is sin? is the esteem that comes to contempt for God , as we say San Agust ín . It is a selfish act in which the creature (angel or man) in which it puts itself first, removing God from his c orazón as most important, the Supreme Good, to whom it owes its existence .

As a consequence of mortal sin, the person loses Sanctifying Grace who communicates divine life, and thereby wins Hell.

What is wrong is to say " The sins of the Church ." The correct statement is " sins of some members of the Church ."

3 .- The original sin

consequence of sin, at the beginning of human history, all denied born with grace and with an injury called lust. This sin affects human nature, and death makes its appearance in human history. Why is the sin of one affects us all?

404 All mankind is in Adam "sicut unum corpus unius hominis "(" As one body of one man ") (S. Thomas A., wrong. 4.1)

Thus the life of the children of the Church is marked by sin, and therefore, a willful disregard of God: and yet the Divine Mercy always forgives. The Church has the means of forgiveness and sanctification through Christ.

forgive the sins, they are forgiven , who shall retain they are retained. John 20, 23.

4 .- sins

These are bad habits or tendencies that lead to all sorts of vices and disorders. They are called " Capital " because it comes from " Caput " " Head " or " Source ." They are head and source of all other sins. These, in turn, have a common root: selfishness. Same puts own tastes and whims to the Law of God.

are 7:

- Pride . What is love disordered self, leading someone to believe more than what it is. Some sins derived from it are the pride, conceit, vanity, disobedience, boasting, ostentation and arrogance.

- Greed . That is the inordinate desire to own property or wealth. Some sins derived from it are the hardness of heart (not worrying about the needs of others), violent theft, fraud, betrayal and greed.

- Lust . That is the inclination disorderly sexual pleasures. Some derivatives of it are sins of fornication, adultery, incest, prostitution, bestiality, masturbation, and rape.

- Ira . That is the inordinate desire for revenge. Some sins are derived from it, hatred, revenge, anger, insult, blasphemy, resentment and impatience.

- Gula . What is greed for food and drink. Derived from it some sins are gluttony, greed, the pursuit of pleasure from food, without acknowledging that they are living for life, has to fall into alcoholism, which in turn leads to other sins.

- Envy . That is the sad tendency to the good of others. Some sins are derived from her sadness, hatred, segregation or denigration of the reputation of others.

- Pereza . That is the tendency to idleness and neglect of one's duties and a weakening of will. Some sins are derived from it laziness, sluggishness in performance, negligence, cowardice, boredom, inconstancy, boredom and the wandering of the mind.

To counteract this, we must practice the following virtues:

- Humility against pride .

- Generosity against greed.

- Chastity against lust .

- patience against anger .

- Temperance against gluttony.

- Charity against envy.

- Diligence against laziness.

addition, we have the following remedies:

- Life of Prayer. Including Rosario stressed, especially if they pray daily.

- Mortification.

- Sacramental life, especially Reconciliation and Eucharist.

- Acts of Mercy.

- Make acts of contrition.

- Meditating on the Passion and Death of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- Consider and meditate on virtues of Christ and Mary.

- Give and go with love our Blessed Mother.

4 .- Conclusion

In the state-of-way, no one can claim to be "immune" to sin. Is a constant struggle to overcome by help of grace, without which nobody can do anything. The man with his own forces, nothing accomplished. The Graces obtained by prayer and sacramental life is the Christian's impenetrable shield against stalking the world's temptations of the flesh and the devil.

should be noted that the Church is accused of many sins, many of them are exaggerations or lies. I would recommend the book " Legends Black Church " of Vitorio Mesori , in order to find some of them and avoid being negañados.

shalt not commit adultery " (Ex 20, 14, Dt 5, 17).

"You have heard it said: 'Do not commit adultery." But I say: Everyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart "

(Mt 5, 27-28).

"L irio of virtue and chastity, which makes men like angels. Nothing is beautiful if it lacks purity, and purity men is called chastity. This virtue also receives the name of honesty, and practice it, honor " San Francisco de Sales

1 .- Sexuality in God's Plan

God has endowed man with the gift of sexuality. Through this gift, having been created in the Image and Likeness of God, man is a sharer in creative work. This reflects the loving plan of God: the transmission of life in an act of love and devotion.

2331 'God is love and live in itself a mystery personal loving communion. Creating it in his image ... God inscribed in the humanity of man and woman vocation, and thus the capacity and responsibility of love and communion '(FC 11).

'God created man in His own image ... male and female he created '(Gn 1, 27). 'Be fruitful and multiply ' (Gn 1, 28), 'the day that God created man, made him the image of God. Created them male and female, blessed them and called them 'man' on the day of its establishment '(Gn 5, 1-2).

God wanted to share their creative work with humans. The man, except in cases of illness or birth, has inscribed in human nature the capacity to transmit life to the natural propagation of mankind. God has arranged the transmission of life is through the Sacrament of Marriage, as well, wished that his biological being, in its being material, is on record.

A person who takes herself eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven (Mt 19, 12) person will remain in that capacity, regardless of the will of celibacy for the love of God. This call does not extend to all people. St. Paul will say:

1 Corinthians 7, 7-9 : My wish is that all men were like me, but everyone has his own special gift of God: one of one kind, others another. However, I say to the unmarried and widows: Well I will stay as is. But if they can not contain, let them marry is better to marry than to burn

celibacy is a vocation given by God.

Nor can the man can not choose their own discretion what to do with that capacity, being treated so immoral that it is sterile, because that puts his will to the Will of God. God is the master of creation, and therefore of our being, body and spirit.

2 .- The integrity of the person and chastity

The two realities of man, the corporeal and spiritual, can not be separated or divided :

2332 Sexuality embraces all aspects of the human person, in the unity of his body and soul . Concerns particularly the affectivity, the capacity to love and to procreate and, more generally, the ability to establish bonds of communion with another.

2333 is up to each man and woman, acknowledge and accept his sexual identity . The difference and complementarity physical, moral and spiritual are oriented toward the goods of marriage and family life development . The harmony of the human couple and of society depends in part on how they are experienced gender complementarity, mutual need and support.

Chastity plays an important role in human life, because:

2337 Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person, and thus the inner unity man in his bodily and spiritual . Sexuality, which expresses man's belonging to the bodily and biological world, it becomes personal and truly human when it is integrated into the relationship of person to person, in the gift complete and lifelong mutual men and women.

Chastity is a virtue Baptized which all must fight. It involves learning self-control. It is a work in progress, since there is obtained once and forever. The man thus freed from the slavery of the passions.

2341 The virtue of chastity is part of the cardinal virtue of temperance, which tends to permeate rationality the passions and appetites of human sensitivity.

Since Chastity is a continuous learning, the effort to achieve can be affected by the imperfection or sin. It is also a social and cultural effort, because people do not living in isolation. Salvation has always been regarded as a communal reality (Encyclical Letter "Spe Salvi" 14) .

The Sixth Commandment, as understood the tradition of the Church covers the whole of human sexuality.

3 .- Respect where it does

Thus man should not despise his bodily nature, loved by God, through which states that capacity to love and be capable of God.

At the beginning of Christianity arose a heresy known as encratism, who despised the bodily part of man, as his idea derives from the Neoplatonic and Gnostic concept of matter as a principle of evil.

2346 Charity is the form of every virtue. Under its influence, chastity appears as a school of the gift of the person. Self-mastery is ordered to the gift of himself. Chastity leads to the practice to be a witness to our neighbor's faithfulness and tenderness of God.

4 .- Regimes of Chastity

"is up to the man how to live their sexuality? Natural Law, inscribed in the hearts of men, governs the conduct in the exercise of sexuality. Being the Natural Law as follows:

1954. Man participates in the wisdom and goodness of the Creator who gives him mastery over his acts and the ability to govern with a view to truth and goodness. The natural law expresses the original moral sense which enables man discern by reason that are good and evil, truth and lies:

natural law is written and engraved in the soul of each and every one of the men because it is human reason that orders do good and forbids sin ... But this prescription of human reason could not become law if it were the voice and interpreter of a higher rate at which our spirit and our freedom must be submitted. (Leo XIII, enc. "Libertas praestantissimum).

As mentioned, it is the duty of every baptized:

2348 All the baptized are called to chastity. The Christian has "put on Christ" (Ga 3, 27), model of all chastity. All Christ's faithful are called to a chaste life according to their particular state of life. At the time of his baptism, the Christian undertakes to manage his emotions in chastity.

Chastity Each person lives according to their status: those dedicated to the living God through celibacy. Single people living in the abstinence and married in married life. It should be noted that chastity is not focused solely on the corporal. Since covering the whole person, Chastity governs all actions of the person: moderate their desires and rejects everything that is opposed to natural law. It is something that exists in all aspects of human life. Thus, the Church also pronounced couples in their way of knowledge:

2350 Grooms are called to live chastity in continence . In this test have to see a discovery of mutual respect, an apprenticeship in fidelity and hope of receiving one another from God . They should reserve for marriage the expressions of affection that conjugal love. They will help each to grow in chastity.

5 .- Offenses Chastity

1 Corinthians 6, 15-20: Know ye not that your bodies are members of Christ? And I had to take Christ's members and make them members of a prostitute? No way! Do you not know that anyone who joins the prostitute becomes one body with her? As is said: The two shall become one flesh. But he that is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. Flee fornication All sin man commits is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body . Know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you have from God and not your own? have been bought! Glorify, then, God in your body.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church lists the following breaches of Chastity:

Lust: which is an inordinate desire or enjoyment of sexual pleasure. Sexual pleasure is morally disordered when sought for itself, separate from the purposes of procreation and union.

The Masturbation: which is the deliberate stimulation of the genitals in order to derive sexual pleasure. Sexual pleasure is sought for itself, and it is morally illicit. Constitutes an abuse of the given capacity in man. Should take into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired habit, conditions of anxiety or other psychological or social factors that reduce or even nullify the moral guilt.

Fornication: that is carnal union between a man and a woman outside marriage.

Pornography: that is to show sex acts, actual or simulated, from the intimacy of the protagonists, displaying them to third parties deliberately. It offends against chastity because it perverts the sexual act. Grave injury to the dignity of those involved in it.

Prostitution: that violates the dignity of the person who engages in, as is reduced to sexual pleasure is taken out of it. It is always gravely sinful to engage in prostitution, destitution, blackmail, and social pressure can attenuate the attribution of failure.

The Violation: that is the forcible violent sexual intimacy of a person. Injury to justice and charity. The violation deeply wounds the right of everyone to respect, freedom, physical and moral integrity. More serious still is the rape committed by parents or teachers with the children entrusted to them.

not just wonder what the status of a person with homosexual tendencies. The Church welcomes children always so loving, and as a mother understands that a person in that situation presents a particular challenge very large. Homosexual acts are always contrary to natural law, and family affection between two people of same sex affection is not straight, as it is against their dignity and sexual reality, who must accept.

The Church understands this and treats them with compassion, love and respect. Avoid discrimination. As we all are called to fulfill God's will and can unite their sufferings to the Cross of Christ (Lk 9, 23) .

6 .- Married life: marriage and transmission of life

The duty of transmitting life " has always been for spouses, free and responsible collaborators of God the Creator" (Encyclical Humanae Vitae , 1).

1601 "The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership for life, ordered by its very nature to the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring was raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament between the baptized "( CIC, can. 1055.1)

Marriage involves two inseparable and irreplaceable for: union and procreation.

As the man image and likeness of God, is in his nature to love. In the state of marriage, the spouses give each other is a donation of all eprsona (body and spirit) to form the two "one flesh " (Gen 2, 24) . Married life is made for the good of the spouses, and that's where it is consumed the sacrament itself.

2361 "Sexuality, by which man and woman give each other the acts proper and exclusive to spouses, is not something purely biological, but concerns the innermost being of the human person as such. It is realized in a truly human way only if it is an integral part of love with which man and woman commit themselves totally to one another until death '(FC 11).

This release should be provided as such, not selfishly seek their own pleasure and satisfaction:

Tobias 8, 4-9: Tobias got up from bed and told Sara, 'Come, sister, and pray and ask our Lord to have mercy on us and save us. " She got up and began to pray and ask to be spared. He began by saying: 'Blessed are you, God of our fathers ... You created Adam, and he created Eve his wife for support and help , and both came to the race of men. You said, "is not good that man should be alone, let us make a helper fit for him." I do not take my sister to this impure desire, but with good intentions. Have mercy on me and her and we get old together. " And they said in unison, 'Amen, Amen'. and went to bed for the night

The love between husband and wife set a bond, fidelity, same promise before the altar, having a union blessed by the Creator and human life has meaning.

2365 Fidelity expresses constancy in keeping word. God is faithful. The Sacrament of Marriage does enter the men and women in the mystery of Christ's faithfulness to his Church . By the conjugal chastity bear witness to this mystery to the world.

St. John Chrysostom suggests that young husbands make their wives reasoning: 'I have taken in my arms, I love you and I prefer my life. For the present life is nothing, my wish is to be with you so that we can be sure of not being separated in the life reserved for us ... I place your love above all, and nothing I will be more painful than not having the same thoughts that you have ' (Hom. in Eph. 20, 8).

consecuancia The Procreation is the delivery of that total, about a love that is unselfish and does not reserve anything, thus showing the desire of the spouses to fulfill God's Will .

2366 Fertility is a gift, an end of marriage, for conjugal love naturally tends to be fruitful . The child does not come from outside in addition to the mutual love of spouses, springs from the heart of that mutual giving, as its fruit and fulfillment. Therefore the Church, it is' for life '(FC 30), teaches that whole' marriage act must remain open to the transmission of life ' (HV 11). 'This doctrine, often expounded by the magisterium, is founded upon the inseparable connection, willed by God and that man can not break on its own initiative, between the two meanings of the conjugal act: the unitive and the procreative meaning "(HV 12; cf Pius XI, enc. "Casti connubii).

Thus:

2369 'safeguarding both these essential aspects unitive and procreative, the conjugal act preserves in its fullness the sense of true mutual love and its ordination to the supreme vocation of man to parenthood '(HV 12).

7 .- Offenses married life

Adultery:

2381 Adultery is an injustice. The perpetrator renege on their commitments. Injured the sign of the covenant which the marriage is . Violates the right of the other spouse, and undermines the institution of matrimonio, violando el contrato que le da origen.

2383 La separation [physical] of spouses while maintaining the marriage bond can be legitimate in certain cases provided by Canon Law (CIC can. 1151-1155).

If civil divorce remains the only possible way of ensuring certain legal rights, the care of children or the protection of inheritance, can be tolerated without creating a moral failure.

If divorce and one spouse is bound to another person, commits adultery.

Matthew 5, 32: Well I say: Anyone who divorces his wife except for unchastity, makes her an adulteress, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Cohabitation a situation in which people live together, committing fornication. Therefore it is an immoral practice which constitutes a grave sin. Polygamy also violates God's original design.

Any act or omission that harms or prevent the two ends of marriage is morally illicit and contrary to Sacramento and to the dignity and good of the spouses. They are an illegal form of birth control through contraception:

Humana Vitae Encyclical Letter, 14: In accordance with these fundamental principles of human and Christian vision of marriage, we must once again declared to be absolutely excluded as licit means to regulate births, the direct interruption of the generative process already begun, and especially the directly willed and procured abortion , even for therapeutic reasons.

Equally to be excluded, as the Magisterium of the Church has frequently declared , direct sterilization, whether perpetual or temporary, whether of man and woman ; excluded is every action which, either in anticipation of the conjugal act, or in its accomplishment, or in the development of its natural consequences, proposes, as an end or a means, to render procreation impossible.

The Church considers it lawful use of birth control, when there are serious causes (such as extreme poverty), methods that make use of infertile periods in women.

The use of contraceptives also poses a risk to the dignity and the essence of conjugal love:

Humana Vitae Encyclical Letter, 17: straight men can still be convinced of the consistency of the doctrine of the Church in this field if reflect on the consequences of methods of artificial birth control. Consider, first of all, easy and comprehensive way would be opened to conjugal infidelity and the general lowering of morality. No experience is needed to understand the human weakness and to understand that men, especially young, so vulnerable at this point they need encouragement to be faithful to the moral law y no se les debe ofrecer cualquier medio fácil para burlar su observancia.

Every act must remain open to life.

2377 practiced within the family, these techniques [homologous artificial insemination and fertilization] are perhaps less reprehensible, yet remain morally unacceptable. dissociate the sexual act from the procreative act . The founding of the existence of the child is no longer an act by which two people find each other, but that "entrusts the life and identity of the embryo into the power of doctors and biologists and establishes the domination of technology over the origin and destiny of the human person. Such a relationship of domination is in itself contrary to the dignity and equality that must be common to parents and children '(cf CDF, instr. "Donum Vitae 82). "The procreation is deprived of its proper perfection, from the moral standpoint, when it is desired as the fruit of the conjugal act, that is, the specific act of the union of the spouses ... only respect for the connection between the meanings of the conjugal act and respect for the unity of the human being make possible procreation in conformity with the dignity of the person ' (CDF, instr. "Donum Vitae" 2, 4).

no moral fault is not the situation of involuntary infertility of either spouse, even if one is aware of it on his person, and hides his partner, is a cause of nullity of marriage (marriage never consummated). The spouses in this situation, puedn contribute greatly to the good of humanity:

2379 The Gospel shows that physical sterility is not an absolute evil. Spouses who, after exhausting legitimate medicine, suffering from infertility, should be associated with the Cross of the Lord, source of all spiritual fecundity. can express their generosity by adopting abandoned children or performing services dedicated to the benefit of others.

Thus, spouses are fruitful in the love of neighbor.

also constitutes a failure when the spouse is your partner as a means of obtaining pleasure, damaging the unitive purpose.

Children are not a right of spouses but a gift from God. The child does have rights, as the fruit of love is born of their parents.

Aspergers And Nightmares

Sixth Commandment Martin Luther and other founders of separate Christian churches speak of Mary Mother of God

Martin Luther, founder of the Reform, speaks of Mary

In his sermon on August 15, 1522, the last time Martin Luther preached on the Feast of the Assumption said

No doubt the Virgin Mary is in heaven. We do not know how it happened. And, as the Holy Spirit has not told us anything about it, we can not do an article of faith ... It is enough to know that she lives in Christ.

The veneration of Mary is in the depths of the heart (Sermon, September 1, 1522)

(She is) the highest woman and the noblest gem in Christianity after de Cristo...ella es la nobleza, sabiduría y santidad personificadas.

Mary does not want to go to her, but through her to God. (Explanation of the Magnificat, 1521)

Luther exalts the Blessed Virgin giving the position of "Spiritual Mother" for Christians:

is the consolation and the superabundant goodness of God that man is able to exult in such a treasure: Mary is his real mother ... (Sermon, Christmas, 1522)

Mary is the Mother of Jesus and Mother of us all but it was Christ alone who reposed on her lap ... If he is ours, ought to be in its place there where he is should be also us and all that He has should be ours, and his mother is also our mother. (Sermon, Christmas, 1529).

Martin Luther believed in the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the following are the words of Luther:

"It is sweet and pious belief that the infusion of Mary's soul was effected without original sin, so that in the very infusion of her soul she was also purified from original sin and adorned with God's gifts, receiving a pure soul infused by God, so that, from the first moment she began to live she was free from all sin. " (Sermon: "On the Day of the Conception of the Mother of God" 1527).

She is full of grace, proclaimed to be entirely without sin (an excessively large). For the grace of God filled with everything good and makes her devoid of all evil. ( Personal {"Little"} Prayer Book , 1522).

Martin Luther on the Perpetual Virginity of Mary

The following is an investigation of Dave Armstrong http://www.biblicalcatholic.org/

Christ our Savior, was the real and natural fruit of the womb Virgin Mary ... this without the cooperation of a man and she remained a virgin after that. {

Luther's Works, eds. Jaroslav Pelikan (vols. 1-30) & Helmut T. Lehmann (vols. 31-55), St. Louis: Concordia Pub House (vols. 1-30), Philadelphia: Fortress Press (vols. 31-55), 1955, v.22: 23 / Sermons on John , chaps. 1-4 (1539)}

Christ ... was the only son of Mary and the Virgin Mary bore no children besides Him .. I tend to agree with those who declare that 'brothers' really mean 'cousins' here, for Holy Writ and the Jews always call cousins brothers.

{Pelikan, ibid ., V.22 :214-15 / Sermons on John, chaps. 1-4 (1539)}

  • A new lie about me being circulated. According to it I'm supposed to have preached and written that Mary, the Mother of God, was not a virgin before or after the birth of Christ ...

{Pelikan, ibid ., vol.45: 199 / That Jesus Christ Was Born a Jew (1523)}

  • Scripture does not say or indicate that she has lost her virginity ...

When Matthew (1.25) says that Joseph did not know Mary carnally hata she gave birth to her son does not follow that he knew then, on the contrary, it means you never knew ... This quackery. .. is unjustified ... he never took into account not paid attention to either Scripture or the common language.

{Pelikan, ibid ., Vol.45 :206,212-3 / That Jesus Christ Was Born a Jew (1523)}

The editor Jaroslav Pelikan (Lutheran) adds:

  • Luther. . . not even consider the possibility that Mary might have had other children besides Jesus. This is consistent with the lifelong acceptance of the idea of the perpetual virginity of Mary

{Pelikan, ibid ., V.22 :214-5

} "... she is full of grace proclaimed to be entirely without sin ... God's grace fills her with everything good and makes her devoid of all evil ... God is with them, meaning that everything she did or did not do is divine and the action of God in it. Moreover, God guarded and protected from anything that could be harmful to her "
Ref: Luther's Works, American edition, vol. 43, p. 40, ed. H. Lehmann, Fortress, 1968

." . . She is rightly called not only the man's mother, but also the Mother of God ... it is true that Mary is the Mother of the real and true God "
Ref: Sermon on John 14. 16: Luther's Works (St. Louis , ed. Jaroslav, Pelican, Concordia. vol. 24. p. 107)

"Christ our Savior was the real and natural fruit of Mary's virginal womb ... that without the cooperation of a man and she remained a virgin after .
(Ref: On the Gospel of St. John: Luther's Works, vol. 22. P. 23, ed. Jaroslav Pelican, Concordia, 1957)

"Men have crowded all her glory into a single phrase: The Mother God . Nobody can say anything greater of her, though he many languages as there are leaves on the trees. "(From" Commentary on the Magnificat.)

Martin Luther defends the Eucharist

In 1529 Martin Luther engaged in the issue of transubstantiation in the famous conference at Marburg with Zwingli and other Swiss theologians, he maintained his position that Christ is present in the bread and wine of the Eucharist

comments about Luther

"... In the resolutions of the 95 theses Luther rejected any blasphemy against the Virgin and thinks that should be asked for forgiveness for any bad thought or spoken against it." (Ref: Wm. J. Cole, "Was Luther a Devotee of Mary? "in Marian Studies, 1970, p. 116:)

" On the Explanation of the Magnificat in 1521, Luther begins and ends with an invocation to Mary with what Wright feels compelled by what he calls "amazing."
(David F. Wright, Chosen by God: Mary in Evangelical Perspecive, London: Marshall Pickering, 1989, p. 178, Cited from Faith & Reason, Spring 1994, p. 6.)

Other Reformers on Perpetua Mary's virginity

John Calvin

  • Helvidius showed excessive ignorance in concluding that Mary must have had many children because the term "brothers" of Christ is mentioned several times

{Harmony of Matthew, Mark & Luke , sec. 39 (Geneva, 1562), vol. 2 / From Calvin's Commentaries , tr. William Pringle, Grand Rapids, MI: Eerdmans, 1949, p.215; on Matthew 13:55}

  • (On Matthew 1.25): The inference he [Helvidius] did, that Mary remained a virgin no more than until their first childbirth and had other children after her husband ... No fair and solidly based inference can be achieved from these words ... as they take place after the birth of Christ. He is called the "Firstborn", but for the sole purpose of informing us that was born of a virgin ... what happened then we are not informed by the historians ... no one can sustain this argument stubbornly, except for one end attached to disputes.

{Pringle, ibid ., Vol. I, p. 107}

  • With the word "brethren" Jews include all cousins and other relatives, whatever the degree of affinity.

{Pringle, ibid ., Vol. I, p. 283 / Commentary on John , (7:3)}

Huldreich Zwingli

  • In September 1522, Zwingli was a lyrical defense of the perpetual virginity of Mary, Mother of Christ ... to deny that Mary remained "inviolate" before, during and after giving birth to their son would have to doubt the omnipotence of God ... and would be right and beneficial to repeat the angelic greeting, not prayer, "Ave Maria" ... God felt Mary above all creatures, including angels and saints is their purity, innocence and invincible faith that mankind must follow. Prayer in any way, must be ... only God ...

'Expositio Fidei,' the last pamphlet of his own hand ... there is a special emphasis on the perpetual virginity of Mary

{GR Potter, Zwingli , London: Cambridge University Press, 1976, pp.88-9, 395 / The Perpetual Virginity of Mary . . ., Sep. 17, 1522}

  • Zwingli in 1524 gave a sermon on "Mary, ever virgin, mother of God."

{Thurian, ibid., P.76}

  • I never thought, much less taught, or declared publicly, anything concerning the subject of the Virgin Mary, Mother of our salvation, which would be disrespectful , unjust, undeserved or bad ... I believe with all my heart, according to the word of the Holy Gospel that this pure virgin who brought us the Son of God remained at birth and thereafter, virgin pure and spotless for eternity.

{Thurian, ibid., P.76 / Same sermon}

Heinrich Bullinger

  • Bullinger (d. 1575). . . defends the perpetual virginity of Mary ... and attacks against the false Christians who defraud or missed to give deserved praise: "In Mary everything is extraordinary and yet more glorious as it sprung from pure faith and fervent love for God." She is "the most unique and noble member Christian community.

"The Virgin Mary ... full of grace and sanctified by the blood of His only Son and abundantly endowed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and preferred it ... now lives happily with Christ in heaven and is called, and remains ever-Virgin Mother of God "

{In Hilda Graef, Mary : A History of Doctrine and Devotion , Combined ed. of vols. 1 & 2, London: Sheed & Ward, 1965, vol.2, pp.14-5}

John Wesley (founder of the Methodist Church)

  • the Blessed Virgin Mary, who, after give birth, continued pure and spotless virgin
